What we do

For many, church ceremonies and sacraments are the most significant link with the local parish. We step alongside families and individuals by praying for them and blessing them at life's important junctures.

Parishioners of all ages are offered many types of teaching and a variety of clubs and special groups. For example, hundreds of children attend weekly clubs, and each year some three hundred young people spend an intensive week at Riuttaranta, our camp center, learning about Christianity.

Diaconal work offers support for those who would otherwise fall by the wayside. A large group of volunteers works alongside the full-time employees.

The worldwide Christian Church and fulfillment of the Great Commission are made familiar through our missionaries working in various parts of the world.

Several choirs, an orchestra, and music groups for children and young people are open for parishioners of all ages. Our music ministries make an important contribution to the cultural life of Vihti in general.
